Machining of titanium alloys
Horáček, David ; Mouralová, Kateřina (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on titanium and its alloys, in terms of properties and uses. The problems of machinability, cutting tools, quality of machined surfaces and machining method are discussed. Threads in titanium alloys Ti-6AI-4V were cut in the practical part. The intention was to compare torque moments and surface quality of threads by using two cutting oils.
A proposal of production technology of a specified component
Janíček, Adam ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Sliwková, Petra (advisor)
This bachelor thesis fosus on machining the parts from worse workable material, exactly stainless steel 1.4404, when the machined component will be the axis of the three-way valve used in food industry. The introduction of my thesis contains of theoretical information about technologies used in components production, continues with an option of machines and tools suitable for fabrication of this component, following with practical part containing the production of manufacturing process, manual, calculation of cutting conditions, production of the component on CNC machines itself, and the last part is complex control of the fabricated component.
Machining of titanium alloys
Müller, Peter ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis specifies the most important properties and production processes of titanium, categorizes titanium alloys and their properties. In the experimental part, titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V blank was machined and cutting forces were measured, depending on selected feeds per revolution. Subsequently specific cutting force was calculated and compared with values given by the tool manufacturers.
On the analysis of spring steel machinability after a heat treatment
Vašíček, František ; Humár, Anton (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the machinability spring steel after heat treatment. Brief research is devoted to the machinability of steel with a focus on spring steel, various influences acting on the material and selected types of heat treatment. On the example of deteriorated workability of Disc spring are described methods of material analysis, performace and influences on machinability. By assessment of the results of the analysis were identified possible causes of deterioration of machinability from view of heat treatment – soft annealing. The final part discusses possible corrective actions in the annealing process and proposes a non-destructive method for controlling material structures.
Testing of cutting parameters for UMCo50 machining
Jakubec, Thomas ; Kolomý, Štěpán (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the machinability of materials, the theoretical part describes the factors that have a dominant influence on machinability. The basic aspects according to which the machinability of the material and the wear of the tool are determined are also given here. The distribution of cobalt alloys is given here, including the UMCo-50 alloy, which is the subject of experimental research. It is an alloy for high-temperature use with good abrasion resistance and is used especially where other materials lose their mechanical properties due to the high temperature. The practical part followed the thesis of my colleague Ing. Peter Prno [1], which due to lack of time could not measure all the necessary quantities, resp. course of back wear for the remaining two cutting speeds. During the experiment, the wear of the tool back was monitored as a function of time at different cutting speeds in turning technology. The main goal was to determine the resulting tool life at the remaining cutting speeds and thus obtain a more accurate Taylor dependence. The turning forces, the quality of the machined surface and the formation of chips were also monitored during turning.
Cutting operation of cover parts.
Kobliha, Lukáš ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
In This thesis is elaborated a proposal for the manufacture of specified parts of the cover. The The work contains an analysis of components and analysis of possible technologies usable for the production, including concretely selected machines and tools. Elaborated is also a technological process, manual for to work on a lathe, and the theoretical number of units produced per year, depending on the shift working consumption indexable cutting inserts for turning.
Sinumerik 840D control system for programming of blanks for gear manufacturing
Havlát, Pavel ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The master thesis deals with the use of the Sinumerik 840D control system for programming of blanks for gear manufacturing. The first part of the thesis is focused on analysis of machinability of the material followed by experimental testing of machinability of material 16MnCr5. An experimental evaluation of the effect of cutting parameters was carried out to force load of semi roughing cutting tool CoroTurn 300. In the next part of the thesis there is a technical documentation of gearing parts, for which a NC program is created. Finally, the possibilities of using the Sinumerik 840D control system are listed and demonstrated by workshop-oriented programming of the considered components for the SP 280 SY turning center.
Influence of the structure of the material and surface treatments on machinability
Foral, Jakub ; Kouřil, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the effect of the structure of a material on its machinability. The term of machinability is clarified in the thesis as well as chosen materials and factors which affect their machinability. The hardness, microstructure and shape of chips were studied at the specific materials. The conclusion is devoted to discussion and evaluation of data gained form the experiments.
The effect of cutting conditions on surface integrity of austenitic steel
Husár, Ján ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Varhaník, Matúš (advisor)
The aim of this work was theoretically to analyze the issue of machinability of austenitic steels and their use. The document also discusses factors that affect the cutting process itself, such as the cutting tool, machine tool, cutting environment and cutting conditions. In the next part of the bachelor´s thesis, an experimental test and its realization at which individual steel samples were turned is proposed. The last part of the thesis summarizes the result of the experiment and evaluates selected properties of the surface and subsurface layers the processed samples.
Technology of CNC production of aluminium alloy part
Novotný, Michal ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The diploma thesis Technology of CNC production of aluminium alloy part is based on the particular specification of the company FP cz s.r.o. The core of the work lies in the proposal of production technology of the given part made from aluminium alloy which is machined by two universal CNC lathes with operating system FANUC. There is an introduction to the issue of characteristics and machinability of aluminium and its alloys because of coherence of the thesis. Practical part is focusing on the particular proposal of production technology which consists of the casting analysis, method of clamping on the chosen machines, choice of tools and verification of the production. There can be achieved effective production and significant time reduction with proposed technology.
